Electro-pop duo schmoof, sarah & lloyd, write catchy tunes about the important things in life: chocolate, pulling on tube trains and murdering unfaithful farmers. sarah originally hails from up north (leeds) and lloyd from the south coast (bognor regis) but their love of all things electro and pop brought them together in london, where they are now based.
schmoof release their second album the glamour on monday 23 april 2007. it will be available for download on itunes.
the glamour features 12 electro-pop gems and demonstrates schmoof’s musical progression since the early days of european debut bedroom disco. schmoof have developed a fuller sound, incorporated guitars on some tracks and expanded the electro-pop genre – the glamour even features the only electro-country’n’ western fusion song (‘hayfever’)!
Also appearing are tracks which have become live favourites, including ‘northern line’, a cute duet about meeting on a tube train in london; and ‘backseat driver’, a punk-electro-pop rocker, which also featured on the ‘hit sheet’ mag/cd as a potential future hit.
schmoof launch the glamour at hoxton bar & kitchen on thursday 19 april. they will then take their live show to their fans across the uk during another tour (tour dates below).
