There are less than 2 months left until 070707 explodes into the summer and it’s the debut festival everyone is talking about. Just this week no less then Mixmaster Mike from the Beastie Boys, Felix da Housecatt, Evil 9 and Damian Lazarus have all been added to an already immense lineup. 070707 is one of the most ambitious and stand-out events in a year clogged up with derivative festivals and familiar DJs. It’s the culmination of three years of incredibly work coming into spectacular fruition in the beautiful Hampshire countryside on Friday 6th, Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th July.
It’s fast-becoming one of the most exciting prospects of 2007. With a line-up simply bulging with global and UK live and DJ talent covering pretty much every musical genre there is over 8 stages, 070707 offers something for everyone – but so much more too!
The Antiworld Main Stage features a full live show by headliners Infected Mushroom featuring Erez Netz on guitar. Quite simply the biggest players in their field, it’s a mouth watering prospect to have the Israeli duo at 070707. They’re joined by a brace of talent from Coast 2 Coast including Hallucinogen Live, Shpongle DJ Set – Aka Simon Posford, GMS Aka Growling Mad Scientists Live and Skazi Live.
Two of the most exciting stages are Chew The Fat and Ninja Tune. Each have put together arguably the best possible collection of performers in their respective fields, from Coldcut and DJ Kentaro through to Pendulum, Freestylers and Breakfastaz amongst many, many others. It’s also Ninja Tune’s ONLY festival stage this year they are hosting so literally the one chance in 2007 to see some of their best talent in one place.
Then there’s a techno assault fronted by Firefly and Atomic Jam. It’s simply a who’s who of techno music - Speedy J Live, Technasia Live, Digitalism Live, Blackstrobe Live, Adam Beyer, Ade Fenton, British Murder Boys, Celtec Twinz, Chris Finke, Green Velvet, Fergie, Hot Chip, James Holden and Josh Wink. Techno doesn’t get much better really than all of this talent in one place!
One of the most exciting bookings is without doubt Christopher Lawrence. He’s one of the most sought after DJs on the planet and consistently rated in the top 5 DJs in the world for his blistering techno and trance sets. Christopher is joined by Marco Bailey, Yves Deruyter, DJ Preach, Andy Farley and many more on the Party Proactive stage.
Over to the Family Groove stage, where DJ Rush, Valentino Kanzyani, Marco Nastic, Chris Liberator, Mark EG and more all star with Seb Marx and Jimige Live.
